Day 1 : Welcome to Hong Kong

Welcome to Hong Kong, a global and economic powerhouse as well as a special administrative region of China. Upon arrival to Hong Kong Airport, our representative will transfer you to your boutique hotel for refreshment.

Your afternoon visit of the city takes you for a ride on the iconic Star Ferry, across Victoria Harbor to Kowloon. Here we will visit Wong Tai Sin Temple, the home to three leading Chinese religions, Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism.

Afterwards, wander along Temple Street, and perhaps hear predictions about your future from the many fortune tellers in the area.  Traditional pawn shops hidden away in old buildings can still be found amongst the skyscrapers and shopping centers in Sham Shui Po before discovering the delicious street food and night markets in Mong Kok.

Return to your hotel in the early evening for some much needed rest and relaxation.

Day 2 : A glance of Hong Kong in a full-day city tour

Start your morning right with a tram-ride to arguably the best city view in the world, Victoria Peak. Take in the views overlooking the Hong Kong Island, Victoria Harbor and Kowloon and walk around the peak to enjoy Hong Kong’s natural scenery before enjoying lunch with a panoramic view.

Once lunch is finished, take a 30-minute ride to Hong Kong’s jungle terrain in the New Territories. Upon arrival in Sha Tin, visit the Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery. Climb the 431 steps to the top and be greeted by a 9-storey red and gold pagoda containing 13,000 gold and black Buddhas.

Return to Hong Kong in the early afternoon to visit the Hong Kong Cultural Museum to see the evolution of Hong Kong from small fishing villages to the modern, economic powerhouse it is today. Once the visit is finished, hop on the Ding Ding Tram, grabbing a seat on the second level, and have a look around at the never-ending skyscrapers and pedestrians in Causeway Bay.

The rest of the evening is free for your leisure to explore Hong Kong’s Time Square and multitude of shopping centers, and of course, the Avenue of the Stars.

Grab a bite to eat and sip a cocktail in the ubiquitous nightlife areas of Lan Kwai Fong and Soho. The city is very safe and has an abundance of public and private transportation options to help you get back to your hotel safely.

Day 3 : Check out Hong Kong Museum of Art before a flight to Hanoi

On your last day in Hong Kong, browse one of the best collections of Chinese Art in the world, located in the Hong Kong Museum of Art. The carefully curated collections vary from painting and calligraphy to antiques and themed exhibitions. Transfer to the Hong Kong Airport for your international flight to the buzzing capital of Vietnam, Ha Noi. Transfer to your boutique hotel in the center of the city and rest after a busy day.

Day 4 : A day in a life of a Hanoian

Dive into the history of Hanoi by visiting the iconic One Pillar Pagoda, designed to resemble a blooming lotus flower, commissioned by the legendary King Ly Thai To in 1049. Just a stone’s throw away lies the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, a monument and tribute to Ho Chi Minh, the “uncle” of modern Vietnam, as well as his preserved stilt house and a small museum dedicated to his life. The mausoleum is closed every October and November, as well as every Monday and Friday throughout the year.

Pass by Vietnam’s first university, Quoc Tu Giam, otherwise known as the Temple of Literature. The grounds offer a quiet oasis in the center of Hanoi and will show you an interesting glimpse into the cultural elite’s past, dating back from 1076.

Your afternoon tour ends at The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, a research center dedicated to the 54 officially recognized ethnic groups living in Vietnam. It boasts a carefully curated collection of tribal art, clothing, furniture, jewelry, spiritual and household items, while the outdoor grounds contain full-sized replica houses and gardens of different ethnic minorities.  (Closed on Mondays)

Day 5 : Join the interesting activities to discover Halong Bay

Following breakfast, hotel pick-up will be arranged to bring you to the moment you have all been waiting for, a cruise on Halong Bay. Check into your cabin as we embark on an overnight cruise to experience the bay in all her glory. Activities include cooking demonstrations, a visit to a floating fishing village, kayaking and swimming, depending on the boat’s itinerary and weather.

At the end of the day, the boat will anchor while guests enjoy the cocktail happy hour and fresh seafood dinner. Gaze at the thousands of stars in the night sky before retiring to your lush cabin for a good night’s sleep.

Day 6 : Enjoy a Halong's cave visit before returning to Hanoi to fly to Luang Prabang

What better way to spend your last day in Vietnam than by waking up in the middle of Ha Long Bay amongst such fresh air and magnificent scenery? Start the morning with some tai chi on the sundeck as the sun rises, and munch on a light breakfast before participating in a cave visit.

Brunch will be served after the cave tour, which gives you time to savor the views as the boat gently glides through the incredible rock formations towards the dock.

Disembark from the cruise and return to Hanoi for a visit to Hoan Kiem Lake. Check out Ngọc Sơn Temple and view the “Turtle Tower” before hopping into a cyclo to explore the labyrinth of streets dubbed the “Old Quarter”, famous to international guests and locals alike due to its propensity for its chaotic but photogenic and charming nature.

Afterwards take an evening flight from  Noi Bai International Airport to the charming Luang Prabang, located in the land of a million elephants, Laos. Transfer to your gorgeous boutique hotel in the city center and have your evening free for leisure.

Day 7 : Welcome to Luang Prabang and swim in into the turquoise Kuang Si Waterfall

Sabaidi and welcome to Luang Prabang, the most beautiful town in Laos, famous for its blend of local and colonial culture and architecture.

Take a scenic 1-hour drive through dense forest to visit the magical Kuang Si Waterfalls. En route, a stop will be made at a colourful ethnic Hmong Village to learn about one of the 49 recognized ethnic groups in the area.

Take a leisurely stroll around the Kuang Si Waterfalls and even take a refreshing dip into the turquoise waters before enjoying a packed picnic lunch.

Return to Luang Prabang for an afternoon city tour of Wat Xieng ThongWat Visoun, the Melon Stupa and Wat Aham before catching a radiant sunset atop Mount Phousi. The tour will conclude at the daily night market where you can peruse all the local handicrafts on display.

Day 8 : Play with elephants in Mandalao Elephant Conservation Center

Learn why Laos is called the land of a million elephants with a trip to the Mandalao Elephant Conservation just outside of Luang Prabang. Throughout the day, get up close with the elephants as you feed, bathe, and play with them after a short training course from a Mahout.

Enjoy a lunch at the camp before visiting Pak Ou Caves, a spiritual site with over 1000 Buddha images are kept. Return to Luang Prabang by slow boat, stopping along the way to visit the Lao Whisky Village to see the process of how villagers make the potent Lau Lao, a special type of whiskey made from rice.

Day 9 : Partake in sunrise alms offering before flying to Siem Riep

Rise before the sun and take part in the iconic tradition of Luang Prabang, offering alms to a long line of monks in dusky saffron robes at Ban Vat Sean. The tradition of giving alms stems back to ancient times, with the idea to give without expecting anything in return.

Return to your hotel for breakfast and check-out and then stop by The Royal Palace. Nowadays, it is a museum with a wonderful collection of crown jewels, antique cars, royal objects and weapons, artwork and more.

Enjoy the well-tended gardens before transferring to the airport for a flight to the gateway to Angkor, Siem Reap.

Upon arrival to Siem Reap, transfer to your beautiful, boutique hotel and have the rest of the day free to discover Siem Reap on your own, as the town is home to many great restaurants, shopping opportunities and spa treatments to indulge in.

Day 10 : Discover the Southeast Asia's largest freshwater lake

A delicious breakfast awaits you before the day tour which will further delve into the history and culture of the region.  A 1-hour drive north will bring you to Banteay Srei, the citadel of women. Constructed from pink sandstone, Banteay Srei is also renowned for its detailed classical Khmer art carvings. Afterwards, we will visit Banteay Samre, another temple near to Banteay Srei and notable for its well-preserved libraries.

Board a small boat and discover the largest freshwater lake in the entire region of Southeast Asia, the Tonle Sap. As the boat glides along, visit a floating fishing village and observe the daily local life before returning to Siem Reap town.

The rest of the day is free for your leisure to snatch up those last Khmer souvenirs for family and friends back home.

Day 11 : Bask in the magnificence of Angkor Wat

Today marks the day you have been waiting for, a tour of the Angkor Archaeological Park. One of the most important historical sites in the entire region of Southeast Asia, the City of Temples will surely amaze and astound even the most experienced traveller.

Built between the 9th-15th centuries, each complex was at one point the capital of the Khmer empire.  Your tour will begin at Angkor Thom, famous for its carved faces pointing out in either direction on top of massive, 75 ft (23 m) towers.Within is the mysterious Bayon Temple, the Mona Lisa of Southeast Asia, located at the exact center of Angkor Thom, with a total of 216 carved faces.

Stops will also include the Elephant Terrace, the Leper Terrace, before moving on to the popular Ta Prohm, recognizable from the film Tomb Raider.

Visit the magnificent Angkor Wat. This masterpiece is the largest city in the Angkor Park and is considered one of the best preserved ancient monuments in the world due to its perfect composition, balance and artistic design.

Behold the unsurpassed beauty as the sun slowly sets behind Angkor Wat, and then transfer back to your hotel.

  • This is a fairly fast paced itinerary, covering major highlights of Hong Kong, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam in just under 2 weeks. Be sure to book extra time in Hong Kong or Siem Reap if you want more time to explore these cities
