Itinerary

Day 1 : Denpasar arrival – Sanur

Om Swastiastu and welcome to Bali, the Island of the gods. One of Indonesia’s most well-known island paradises, Bali has been enchanting visitors and locals alike with its gorgeous beaches, vivacious sea-life, stunning natural scenery and abundance of activities to suit any traveler.

Upon arrival to Denpasar International Airport, our representative will greet and transfer you to your beachside hotel in Bali’s oldest upscale resort area, the quiet and relaxed Sanur.

Your day is free to discover this quiet community’s cultural, natural and historical attractions. Enjoy the sight of Balinese kites flying in the air while soaking up the sun on the beach or take a dip in the safe and clean waters. There is also a turtle conservation center devoted to rehabilitating injured turtles and releasing healthy baby turtles into the wild.

For those interested in art and history, visit one of Bali’s hidden gem’s, Le Mayeur Museum, the former house and garden of the Impressionist artist Adrien Jean Le Mayeur. His traditional Balinese house is filled with his beautiful paintings of daily life and local people, and has been left untouched since his death in the 1950s. The museum is a wonderful way to gain insight into what it must have been like to be one of the first expatriates to live on the island.

Nusa Lembongan is one of three islands off the southeastern coast of Bali and is the perfect place for those who prefer rest and relaxation. Although Nusa Lembongan is much quieter than other beach destinations on the mainland, the area is becoming more and more popular as travelers hope to discover their own kind of Bali magic.

Upon arrival to Nusa Lembongan, you will have the day free to explore on your own the island’s natural attractions. Beach lovers will bask in the warm glow of the island’s pristine beaches and bright turquoise waters while ocean lovers can join surfing, diving and snorkeling activities in the colorful, healthy reefs located near the shore.

Day 4 : Nusa Lembongan – Sanur – Ubud

Say good-bye to Nusa Lembongan as we take the 30-minute boat transfer back to Sanur this morning. Upon arrival to the dock in Sanur, hop into your private car and enjoy a scenic drive and day-tour as we make our way inland from the coast to Bali’s center of art and culture, Ubud.

Our first stop will be at Goa Gajah, the Elephant Cave. Built in the 9th century as a place for meditation and enlightenment, this archaeological complex holds exquisite rock carvings, a meditation cave, bathing pools and lovely fountains in a lovely courtyard.

Next, visit Pura Gunung Kawi, an ancient rock temple carved into the face of a massive cliff surrounded by shrines in a big courtyard. To reach the archaeological site, you must first walk up 300 steps along the holy Pakerisan River, verdant rice paddies and lush green valleys.

A delicious lunch can be found in many of the “warungs”, small mom and pop restaurants at the entrance to Pura Gunung Kawi.

Finally, the tour will stop at Tirta Empul, an incredibly important temple complex with holy water inside. This UNESCO World Heritage Site was built in 960 AD and features in many local myths and legends in Balinese culture. The locals bathe in the holy water springs and pools to purify themselves before praying, and is something very worth seeing when visiting this island.

The tour finishes in the late afternoon where you will be dropped off at your charming, boutique hotel in Ubud.

Check out the Puri Lukisan or Agung Rai Museum of Art to discover traditional and modern works of art by local artists.

The Ubud Monkey Forest is a very popular place to visit for first-timers to Bali, as it is a temple complex hidden away in the jungle with more than 600 monkeys roaming freely.

The Ubud Water Palace, an iconic photography moment, is the perfect place to go for those interested in seeing Balinese dance performances in the courtyard and surrounding lotus ponds.

We also highly suggest taking the Campuhan Ridge walk, a stunning, low-key hike with bright, lush green scenery and sweeping panoramic vistas, to discover Ubud’s lovely countryside.

Enjoy a delicious Balinese lunch at a floating restaurant with beautiful views over the lake before heading back to Ubud. The rest of the afternoon is free for you to snatch up those last minute souvenirs or try out some magical Balinese massages, which Ubud is famous for. In the afternoon, revel in the scenic countryside by taking a gentle stroll through the lush, Balinese-style rice terraces outside of Ubud. After, we will stop at Pura Taman Ayun, one of the most important religious sites in Bali. The temple complex and former Royal Palace has an array of beautiful gardens, wide courtyards and delicate lotus ponds.

Stop at Kedaton Monkey Forest and interact with the hundreds of grey macaques as they swing from treetops and attempt to steal visitor’s sunglasses!

As the afternoon begins to end, we will make our way to the last stop of the tour, Tanah Lot Temple, one of Bali’s most important landmarks and spiritual areas. Here there is an ancient Hindu shrine on top of a rock formation where locals give daily cultural offerings. There are many cultural shows put on throughout the day as well as gardens, panoramic vistas, and a sacred spring with healing waters to visit.

Next, stop for a mouth-watering fresh seafood lunch with your toes in the sand on the famous Jimbaran Beach. Here you can see fisherman hauling in their catch to the seafood market located directly on the beach or even visit the open-air shopping village.

Finally, the tour will stop at Uluwatu Temple, an incredibly important temple as it is believed to be built at one of Bali’s most spiritual positions.
