Day 1 : Welcome to Bangkok
Sawasdee and welcome to the land of smiles. Your tour begins in Bangkok, the center of Thailand, known worldwide for its abundance of sensational foods, glamourous shopping malls, historical sights and sizzling nightlife. Upon arrival to the airport, our driver will pick you up and transfer you to the luxurious Shangri-La Hotel on the river of kings, the Chao Pyra.
Enjoy a day at leisure until an evening dinner cruise along the Chao Phraya River with the Shangri-La’s Horizon Cruise. Sample delicious Thai cuisine while watching the illuminated City of Angels pass you by as you cruise the river of kings over a 2-hour period.

Day 2 : Explore the cultural and historical attractions of Bangkok
Explore Bangkok’s famed cultural and historical attractions with a private tour through the city utilizing the iconic tuk-tuk, long tail boat, and by foot. Visit the Phra Nakorn area of Rattanakosin Island along the Bangkok Noi and Bang Luang Canals. Wander through Bangkok’s impressive golden Grand Palace before stopping at Wat Pho to see the immense reclining Buddha. Shop for exotic flowers in the local markets before perusing the finest Thai art collections in the National Museum.

Day 3 : Discover the history of the former capital of the Kingdom of Siam
After breakfast drive 2.5 hours north to Ayutthaya, a former capital of the Kingdom of Siam from 1350-1767, and in 1700, the largest city in the world due to its trading connections with other kingdoms such as China, India and Indonesia.
Although most of the city was destroyed when it was sacked by Burmese troops in 1767, there are still nearly 100 ruins left to admire and visit throughout the island at your leisure by foot or on bicycle. Some of the most famous historical sites to see on your visit are Wat Chaiwatthanaram and the Buddha head entwined in a Bodhi Tree at Wat Phra Mahathat.

Day 4 : Partake in an sunrise alms giving ceremony at Wat Phra That Doi Suthep
Welcome to Chiang Mai, the gorgeous northern capital and previous Lanna Kingdom capital from 1296-1558. The cultural and religious center of the country, Chiang Mai’s small old town and rolling green expanses feel worlds apart from the sprawl and noise of Bangkok.
Start your morning at sunrise with an alms giving ceremony at Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, the holiest and most important temple in Chiang Mai. Afterwards,climb up a 309 steps along a golden staircase to reach the golden pagodas of the temple.
Return to the city center of Chiang Mai and explore Wat Chedi and the Chiang Mai City Arts and Culture Center.

Day 5 : Learn how to cook Lanna-style meals with Mae Kampong villager
Explore the beautiful countryside of Thailand at Mae Kampong Village. Stroll through the small streets filled with blooming flowers and try a local tea or coffee which grows in the fields surrounding the village.
Learn how to cook Lanna-style meals and how to choose ingredients with your village host before enjoying the fruits of your labor over a delicious lunch.
Return to Chiang Mai for an afternoon at leisure to discover the city center on your own, maybe by booking a rejuvenating spa treatment or watching a famous Muay Thai boxing match.

Day 6 : Meet Asian elephants at Elephant Nature Park
Meet Asian elephants today at Elephant Nature Park, a rescue and conservation center. Throughout the day, get up close with the elephants as you feed, bathe, and play with them after a short training course from a Mahout.
Enjoy a lunch at the camp before returning to your hotel in Chiang Mai, where the rest of the day is at your leisure to explore the city’s many cultural activities.

Day 7 : Enjoy glitz and glamour alternative beach destination in Krabi beach
Enjoy your breakfast before catching a mid-morning flight to the exotic and stunning Krabi province, famous for its limestone karst formations, world-class beaches, and abundance of recreational activities. Krabi is a wonderful, quieter alternative to the glitz and glamor of Thailand’s other beach destinations like Phuket or Koh Samui.

Day 8 : A day at leisure in Krabi

For those who enjoy more active holidays, try kayaking through Tha Pom Klong Song Nam, a scenic mangrove swamp with raised-wooden walkways, or visit Railay beach and watch adventurous rock-climbers scale the humongous limestone karst faces.

Day 9 : Hop into a long-tail boat to neighborhood island in Krabi
Today hop into a long-tail boat for an island hopping day-trip to many of the famous islands in the area, Koh Poda, Koh Tub, Chicken Island, and Hong Island. Experience the best of island life as you sunbathe on the soft beaches and snorkel with brightly coloured fish.
Return to the Amarai in the mid-afternoon and spend some time poolside with chic cocktails in hand.
